FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Detroit, MI – April 10, 2024 – Beat the Streets Detroit, a chapter of the prominent youth wrestling organization Beat the Streets National, will work closely with Metro Detroit Wrestling Association, an independent organization with its own Board of Directors and Mission Statement, in developing a relationship with Michigan USA Wrestling, which is separate organization along with its other affiliates. This collaboration aims to enhance access and opportunities for young wrestlers across the Metro Detroit region.

Recognizing the importance of providing avenues for youth development through sports, Beat the Streets Detroit has joined forces with Metro Detroit Wrestling Association to work with Michigan USA Wrestling to expand its reach and impact within the community. The desired outcome will be to work together to offer comprehensive training programs, mentorship opportunities, and competitive experiences to aspiring wrestlers.

“We are thrilled, along with Metro Detroit Wrestling Association, to build that relationship with Michigan USA Wrestling in furthering our mission of empowering youth through wrestling. The possibility to combine our resources is very exciting,” said Kerri Smith, Executive Director of Beat the Streets Detroit.
